Uptown’… is a bold new ‘Lifestyle Commercial Center’ currently under construction. The Design Build Team of owner, Hansen, Hansen and Johnson Architects as site and shell architect, and HHJ Construction as builder has worked tirelessly to transform this 30 acre site into a tapestry of distinctive shops, restaurants and a multi-plex cinema. Interwoven with these buildings are pedestrian walkways, outdoor seating, lush landscaping, water features and sculpture elements. Borders Books and Galaxy Theaters are among the tenants going into the development. Construction is nearing completion, with many buildings occupied by tenants as 2007 ends.

Galaxy Theatres at Uptown Gig HarborGig Harbor, Washington

The new Galaxy Theatres located at the new lifestyle center, Uptown Gig Harbor, being constructed by HHJ Construction, will be equipped with the latest design and technology innovations. The 43,000 square foot, 10 theater cinema is shares the building facade with modern retail spaces designed by HHJ to convey the feel of a village main street. A radiant stone and glass lobby facade will welcome movie-goers to this state-of-the-art theatre. Movies and privately arranged video presentations can be enjoyed in 2D or 3D. Use of high definition digital projection equipment coupled with the latest in sound technology and acoustics assure the ultimate cinema experience. Hansen, Hansen & Johnson Architects, designers of the shell building, and HHJ Construction, Inc have seamlessly teamed in their effort to construct this theatre.

Recently completed is a new auto dealership in Puyallup near the site of Puyallup Nissan at Meridian and Valley Ave. The full service and sales facility of approximately 32,000 square feet was designed and built by the team of Hansen, Hansen and Johnson Architects and HHJ Construction.

Meridian South Professional CenterKent, Washington

Hansen, Hansen, & Johnson Architects assisted the owner is completing a feasability study for this Kent site. Working with the owner, city, and consultants the design was finalized. HHJ began construction of the wood frame building. Currently we are completing the shell and beginning tenant improvements.

Puyallup ChryslerPuyallup, WA

Recently constructed bu HHJ, is this new full service and sales dealership at The Park in Puyallup business park near Meridian St. at Valley Avenue. This custom design by Hansen, Hansen and Johnson Architects incorporates the new Chrysler national imaging and branding elements in a bright and spacious facility.

A commercial retail office building is currently under construction by HHJ at 104th and Canyon in Pierce County. This design build project is a 10,570 square foot shell in a busy area of Puyallup. Design was by Hansen, Hansen and Johnson, Architects.

Tenant Improvement: Edge Learning InstituteTacoma, WA

The first office tenant to locate to the new Westgate Shopping Center is Edge Learning Institute, Tacoma. Our design CAD software allows parametric building information modeling to assist in rapid design and document production as well as visualization.
